Elenore
Race: Wood Elf
Homeland: Shinaya Forest (Shinnun)
Occupation: Hunter, Archer, later Rogue
Description: handsome, wears all green
Personality: quick-tempered, light-hearted, resourceful

Main character in all 3 books I've planned, he is quite the typical wood elf though he excels in his skills with the bow.
His life takes a turn when he meets Lanalin and starts on a dangerous journey with her. Later joins the Rogue's Guild thanks to her.

Phoenyr
Race: Wild Winged Elf
Homeland: Shinnun Mountains
Occupation: Bard, Healer, Scout
Description: blond, light-winged, no shoes
Personality: timid, compassionate, naive

Main character in the first book only. He is peaceful and fearful, very much unlike his warlike race. He almost gets banished for it from the tribe.
However, he is very gifted in music and that earns him some respect. Later he moves downhill to the elven forest, where he meets Elenore.
He is self-taught in magic and he can do mostly just simple healing spells.

Lanalin a'Laya
Race: Wood Elf
Homeland: Shinaya Forest (Shinnun)
Occupation: Rogue, Blademistress
Description: small, tawny, all in black leather
Personality: harsh, stubborn, loyal, fighting spirit

Trained in close combat (mostly swords and daggers) since very early age, she is one of the best fighters in the land.
She joins the Rogue's Guild as a teenager without difficulty and quickly becomes famous for her skills and decent personality.
Although quick-tempered and often harsh, she has many friends wherever she goes. Main character in all 3 books.

Katrene
Race: Catrix (bipedal felines)
Homeland: ?
Occupation: Rogue, Tactician, Close Combat
Description: tall, athletic, cougar-like fur
Personality: emotional, courageous, kind

She is a rogue, but of a noble descent (rare). Thanks to that she has made her way into the High Elven Court of Lereya (one of the most powerful elvish kingdoms).
She is highly respected both in the Rogue's Guild and in the royal court for her tactical mind and martial skills, but her personality is not exactly typical for either.
Main character in the second book.

Ranix
Race: Corack (huge tribal corvids)
Homeland: Western Calmarah
Occupation: Rogue, Master Fighter
Description: typical for the race
Personality: friendly, jolly, loyal, generous

She is a joyful bird from the wastelands, much friendlier than any of her tribesbirds, she is one of Lanalin's best friends.
Excellent and fearless fighter, known for her unusual battle style (thanks to bird anatomy). She likes hunting necromancers.
Appears briefly in the first book, but she definitely deserves more attention.

Trissa
Race: Vampire (pureblood)
Homeland: Southern shores of the Asseltic Sea
Occupation: Rogue, Close Combat, Antimage
Description: tall, slender, wears all black
Personality: friendly, playful, black humour

Main character in the second book, she is as powerful and deadly as is expected of a pureblood vampire, but with antimage skills added to that.
However, she is friendly and light-hearted, often seen smiling. One of Lanalin's best friends and favourite sparring buddies.

Vladeras
Race: Vampire
Homeland: Unknown
Occupation: Terrorizing the area
Description: (don't really know yet)
Personality: merciless, violent, murderous

Fierce and violent, powerful and merciless, he was feared and hated by both mortals and vampires. One of the few vampires who didn't ever shy away from killing their own kind.
He won't appear nor even be mentioned in any of the books (he has a story of his own I will write someday), but I think he can make an interesting character for a drabble.
Also, he is Trissa's real father, but he died when she was newborn, so she never knew him.

Alessi
Race: Vampire (pureblood)
Homeland: Southern shores of the Asseltic Sea
Occupation: Assassin
Description: a bit small, very nimble, strong
Personality: unscrupulous, offhand, effective

Main antagonist in the first book, one of the few total villains even in my eyes, yet for some reason I like him quite a lot.
He is unceremonious, scorning the arrogant vampire ways, and at the same time deadly enough so that he can actually afford it.
In some ways, he is much like the rogues, though of course not burdened by their morality.

Knark
Race: Gray Werewolf
Homeland: Unknown
Occupation: Rogue, Tracker, Junkie, Drug Dealer
Description: ragged, moulting, lean, looks heavily diseased
Personality: feverish, neurotic, hysterical (or random when drugged)

One of my most wtf characters, he is a total junkie who is almost never in his right mind (if any of it is even left in his head) as drugs have wiped his brain clean ages ago.
However, they've also given him supernatural senses. For that, he is still in the Guild, although the rogues know he isn't a reliable companion. Yet keep him supplied with weeds, he will stick around.
Appears very briefly in the first book, but he will be a main character in the second (couldn't resist the temptation).

Cherek
Race: Manticore
Homeland: Kharin-Hatt Desert
Occupation: Varies
Description: typical, except for the large blue eyes
Personality: cautious, well-mannered, reserved

One of my oldest characters, he is the main character in an older story. I include him in order to explore more unusual characters.
Although a manticore, he probably was brought up by people of some kind because he is unusually kind and unaggressive for his species.
Of course he has retained his bestiality, but it's just not as easy to provoke.

Strender
Race: Stormbringer
Homeland: Thyraadir, Airis Island
Occupation: Sorcerer (Stormbringer)
Description: white sleek scales, silver mane
Personality: reserved, wise, mysterious

Stormbringers are born sorcerers, yet they master their innate powers as they grow up and usually find a tigriff flight to unite with.
He is one of my favourite characters, but I haven't had the chance to reveal much of the life and world of a stormbringer yet.
He appears in the second book, but I won't reveal any about that.

Bereenorh
Race: Tigriff (huge storm gryphons)
Homeland: Unknown
Occupation: Flight Leader
Description: white with black tiger stripes
Personality: storm-tempered, fiercely loyal

He is the leader of Strender's tigriff flight - and therefore his ride and best friend and most trusted partner.
Powerful and fierce as any tigriff, yet he is somehow cute in my eyes. Probably it's the bird thing in a gryphon.
Anyway, I decided to include him because I want more highlight on the tigriffs themselves.

Niene e la'Neih
Race: Sea Elf
Homeland: Nehellmyr Sea
Occupation: Obscure (Witch?)
Description: a bit small, look somewhat vague
Personality: ummm.... difficult to describe

Another of my stranger characters, she won't appear in any of the main books, but I wrote a short story about her ages ago. To be honest, she is still a puzzling mystery even to me.
She lives wandering as a renegade - often also persecuted. The reason is that she appears to be mad, and although normally friendly, every now and then she invokes the wrath of the sea elven authorities.
Thing is, she does what she believes is right, regardless of any rules and laws. Problem is, her beliefs are mildly said deranged. I do believe she is insane, but also.... in some ways incredibly insightful.
I want to write about her because she is so unusual and I want to try to understand her more.

Lapis
Race: Sea Dragon
Homeland: Nehellmyr Sea
Occupation: Terrorizing the shores
Description: lapis stone patterned hide
Personality: cruel, sadistic, stubborn

NOT ME. He is a sea dragon who in his youth spent a long time on land, due to which his hide partially lost its blue color and gained the pattern of a lapis stone.
Hence his nickname, given to him by Lesphar when they met. His real name was never known, he never speaks of his past, which is evidently traumatic.
Nowadays, after Lesphar convinced him to return into the sea, he violently slaughters any land-dwellers who dare to touch the Sea. Thus he has become known as the terror of the shores.

Lesphar
Race: Sea Devil
Homeland: Nehellmyr Sea
Occupation: Guardian of the Sea
Description: silvery bluish skin, ink-blue hair, curvy horns
Personality: caring, playful, responsible (very cruel when angered)

Sea Devils are mysterious creatures who live solitarily, but with their own herd of magical capricorns. He is a typical one.... more or less.
Unlike many of his species, he actually likes going out on land to do (usually) harmless tricks to land-dwellers and/or to help a sea creature in plight.
This is how he met Lapis (NOT ME), too, and how he got stuck with the stubborn dragon ever after.


Bonus Dragon Characters:

Chelyzthrien L'Azeryth
Race: Crystal Dragon (giant)
Residence: Azeryth, Parilix Mountain
Description: giant ruby-red crystal dragon
Personality: bright, optimistic, friendly

A character I know little about and will probably not appear in stories much. However, she is likely to be interesting to write about.
Her homeland, Azeryth, is a legendary dragon realm made entirely of crystal, the exact location of which is unknown.

Ash'Lerathiras
Race: Red Dragon
Residence: Dravindeil, Azthyreat Mountain
Description: a bit small, with a tall crest
Personality: wistful, pensive, but ardent in game

He is a minor character, but I'm somehow fond of him. Born in Dravindeil, he has spent most of his life in the city. However, in his homeland, he became famous early in life.
Since early age he was known as a genius in the game of stones. As a teenager he could already beat the Queen, who has played the game for centuries before he was even born.
His whole life pretty much revolves around the game, but through it, he became a philosopher. Later he lives as a noble in the royal palace.

Terrifreld
Race: Blue Dragon
Residence: Tirien, Parilix Mountain
Description: ancient blue wyrm
Personality: harsh, aggressive, hostile

One of the more violent dragon characters I have (apparently I came up with his name from "terror"), but I believe there's more to him than just his scary reputation.
He lives in the highest dragon city in the world, right under the highest peak, and he used to be its ruler, but I believe he gave up the post for some reason. No clue why.
Learning more about him, while writing drabbles in particular, is probably going to be quite useful.

Raxsyr
Race: Copper Dragon
Residence: The City of Erdrelis, Dragondeil
Description: still shiny despite his ancient age
Personality: youth-spirited, optimistic, loyal

Quite an ancient dragon, yet one to retain his youth of spirit surprisingly against the odds. He was one of the most loyal dragons of Karren'Rex when she still ruled.
Later, when she disbanded her dragon flight, he wandered the world for centuries until he finally returned into the ancestral city of dragons, Erdrelis.
I should note a few centuries after they first arrived at Erdrelis, the city was destroyed. Raxsyr made his way to it many centuries later, after its ancient King returned and resurrected it.

Karren'Rex
Race: Steel Dragon
Residence: Narsyria, Airis Island
Description: distinctive sapphire eyes
Personality: hostile, fierce, solitary

One of my dearest characters (for many past personal reasons), she has one of the longest, most complicated and most tragic histories. Also, she's very, very ancient.
When she first appears in stories (which take place far in the past), she is already ancient and had ages of turmoil, struggle and suffering to burden her mind.
In the ancient past, she used to be the Queen of the Metal Dragons from Ithryn. Nowadays, however, she lives a solitary life as a beast in the ice desert, unknown and feared for her ferocity.
