When you see that look

....you're already dead.


Jaguar. One of the most beautiful and deadly predators this world knows.
I feel frustrated. I don't know what to say about such magnificent an animal. Perhaps we should just remain silent for a moment, in its honour.

So, as mentioned, I drew this as a gift, for a colleague. He adores big cats (much like myself), and I wanted to make him a gift. So I asked him whether he has a favourite species. He named a few: a tiger, a cougar and a jaguar. He mentioned he loves jaguars not just because of their beauty, but because of their ferocity and wild temper. And their look. That dire glare which heralds your certain death. I'd say I absolutely understand him. This is also when I already knew what I was going to draw.
So I found a decent reference (see below) and tried to do that exactly: draw its deathly glare, with all its power and passion.... Others will have to judge on whether I managed.
