The Girl and the Horse

Oh look, I made a commission. Never thought I'd be doing that again. Though it's for a friend and that, of course, makes it feel a bit different.

Not much to this drawing really. I love horses and I quite enjoy drawing them. I also enjoy drawing pretty girls and nice long hairs, especially when there's a backlight shine to them.... This time I don't even know the girl, she's my friend's friend and the commission is going to be a birthday gift for them.... I'm actually kinda flattered she thought of me when she was looking for a gift in the first place. I'm also glad she liked the result, hope the girl in the picture enjoys it a lot, too.

I changed the coat from Friesian to Palomino (even if Friesian is one of my favourite), mainly for two reasons: 1) black fur is a bitch to draw with pencil and 2) I LOVED drawing a blond mane with light shining through. Besides, Palominos are quite beautiful actually.
