As you might have noticed, I'm not drawing much lately.... nor am I thinking about drawing at all for that matter. Crisis? Nah, cliché....
But several days ago, talking to a friend of mine, somehow we ended up discussing drawings. He suggested I draw one of his characters, a rather special one, and I thought why not, sometime.... definitely not today, but some other time - why not really. I'm utterly out of both ideas and inspiration anyway. Then he mentioned the character's birthday is in a few days.... but now that I have a full time job my free time is greatly reduced compared to a month ago, and so I dismissed him.... rather abruptly, I admit. No offense towards the character, but I really didn't plan observing her birthday this year, my bad. However.... my friend failed to mention that her birthday happens to coincide with his own. Luckily, I saw that on dA the next day.
( Edit: Turned out his birthday is not really on the same date after all. THAT'S why I don't trust software to tell me when people's birthdays are, but alas XD )

As is my habit, and in full accordance to my very subversive evil nature, I said nothing to him, but I kept plotting and drawing these last couple of days before said date. Because surprise is such a powerful advantage. Gets you the prey wonderfully unprepared.... So, there goes, one of my signature gift art ambushes. I wonder whether people are more pleased or irritated by that actually....
(Also, since it was done in so much of a hurry, and I have no scanner of my own, I am forced to upload a photo of the drawing.... I utterly scorn this fact. Hopefully I'll get it scanned soon.)

P.S. I still don't feel like drawing. Not one bit. I suppose I'll quit.... for a while.... hopefully.
