Hell horse

I started this so long ago I don't remember anymore. Obviously, I wasn't spending all my spare time in drawing it.

Now, my initial idea was to draw a classical DnD nightmare and design it for a t-shirt. So I started it without any background and it remained so until it was virtually complete. The nightmare transformed into a hell horse shortly after I realized I have no idea what a sleek black steed would look like at the light of intense flames.
Naturally, I carried away in drawing flames.... this has been hell of an awesome practice. I realize they don't look perfectly realistic, but I'm sooooooo happy with them. (By the way, the flames on the ground are intentionally less bright.)
What else to say? I loved the work on this, I love how it came out in the end. I WILL make myself a t-shirt with this on it.

Technical stuff.
Reference: none. I did study horse photographs on the web again, as I always do when I'm drawing horses (and it always doesn't entirely help). This time I began to feel I've finally started comprehending their anatomy. But I emphasize STARTED to comprehend. So if you can point out to me some of the more obvious mistakes I've made, that'd be of great help in the future. Thank you.
